The Florida Department of Labor and Employment Security, Division of Unemployment Compensation [DUC] determines eligibility for unemployment benefits. This pamphlet, which can be obtained at Jobs and Benefits offices, is provided to anyone who applies for unemployment compensation and explains all criteria used by DUC in determining eligibility.

To file for unemployment, you may apply in person at a One Stop Center or you may file online. Click here to view a list of One Stop Center locations or click here for information on filing online.  When you go to Jobs and Benefits, bring your Social Security card and drivers license with you. If you don't have a Social Security card, a W-2 or paycheck stub will be accepted. If you don't have a drivers license, another form of identification such as a voter registration card can be used.
