International Students

The Counseling Center recognizes that studying abroad is fraught with many challenges and hurdles. We offer a variety of services and programs to assist students with academic, career, and personal needs. We invite you to explore these areas and select the one that best suits your needs. We hope that the time you spend at USF will be valuable to you. Some common concerns of international students are:

•  Culture Shock
•  Communication in English
•  Food Customs
•  Educational System at USF
•  Religious Practices
•  Immigration Issues
•  Studying Effectively
•  Relationships (dating, family, and friends)
•  Academic Pressures

The Counseling Center staff is available to talk with you about any of these issues or to refer you to the appropriate source of support.

We encourage you to visit the center and make an appointment.
