  • The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL)
    A division of the American Library Association, is a professional association of academic librarians and other interested individuals. It is dedicated to enhancing the ability of academic library and information professionals to serve the information needs of the higher education community and to improve learning, teaching, and research.

  • The Campus Computing Project
    The Campus Computing Project is the largest continuing study of the role of information technology in US higher education. Directed by Kenneth C. Green, the project's annual survey of IT issues affecting American higher education focuses on campus planning, policies and procedures affecting the use of information technology in teaching, learning, and scholarship. The Campus Computing Project website includes information summarizing the results of the annual survey.

  • On the Horizon
    The purpose of the Horizon Web site is to inform educators about the challenges that they will face in a changing world and steps that they can take to meet these challenges. The site features two periodicals edited by James L. Morrison, UNC-Chapel Hill: On the Horizon, a strategic planning resource for educational leaders, and The Technology Source, an information resource for teachers and administrators who want to integrate information technology tools in their work.

  • The EASI Project
    The Equal Access to Software and Information Project is dedicated to providing information on the latest developments in access-to-information technology which is used by K-12, Higher Education, and administration worldwide. Originally formed in the late 1980's, EASI is also the premiere provider of online training on adaptive technology and how institutions can offer barrier-free communication and information technology systems for persons with disabilities.

  • The League for Innovation in the Community College
    A non-profit educational consortium of leading community colleges organized to stimulate innovation and experimentation in all areas of community college development. Founded in 1968 the League serves as a catalyst, project incubator, and experimental laboratory for community colleges throughout the United States and Canada. The League's annual CIT conference has become the biggest event of the many that focus on higher education technology.

  • The National Teaching and Learning Forum
    A "conversation about teaching," edited by James Rhem. The talk ranges from citations and addresses, the kind of useful facts and access keys friends scribble out for each other, to anecdotes that make a point, to serious arguments for a particular point of view, to familiar essays in which a faculty member distills wisdom from experience.

  • POD
    The Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education provides support and services to those interested in faculty development through conferences, newsletters, publications, and consulting

  • WebAIM
    Web Accessibility In Mind is administered through a grant provided by the Learning Anywhere Anytime Program Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education. Their goal is to improve accessibility to online learning opportunities for all people; in particular to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities who currently may have a difficult time getting access to postsecondary online learning opportunities.

  • Syllabus
    The only monthly magazine that focuses exclusively on the use of high tech in higher education, provides a platform for advancing IT solutions at the college level. With 156,000 readers, Syllabus influences decisions made across the higher ed enterprise and has been a source of information for educators, administrators and IT professionals since 1988. Syllabus Conferences supplement the magazine and provide readers the opportunity to examine new technologies first hand and discover how they can be best integrated into the teaching and learning process.
