About Us

The Wellness Center

Your One-Stop Shop to Well-Being

At the Wellness Center, you can meet with a registered dietitian, get a blood pressure screening, check your height, weight and BMI, pick up free condoms, and gather information on a variety of health and wellness topics. Our goal is to help you adopt a balanced lifestyle. We can help connect you with professionals who support different aspects of your well-being by putting you in touch with members of the Counseling Center, Student Health Services, Campus Recreation, and the Center for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention.

Meet the Wellness Education Staff

Erica Allen, Student Services Program Specialist
Erica holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of South Florida and is pursuing a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in Tampa. Erica works the front desk of the Wellness Center in the Marshall Student Center and manages program requests, assists with outreach and marketing, coordinates the Wellness Calendar, and completes various other tasks in the office.

Jennifer DiPrete, Director
Jen earned her master's degree is in Health Promotion and Wellness Management and her bachelor's degree is in Rehabilitation Services, both from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. Her work focuses on holistic health and wellness, behavior modification, sleep and stress management. As the director of Wellness Education, she oversees a department provides programs, activities and information designed to keep USF students well-balanced and successful in college.


Katie Jones, Dietitian
Katie is a registered and licensed dietitian who specializes in promoting nutrition specific topics through the Wellness Education department. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Science and is pursuing a master's in Public Health at USF.



Jennifer Parker, Coordinator, Alcohol & Other Drugs Awareness & Prevention Initiatives
Jennifer earned a master's degree in Human Nutrition from Mississippi State University and a bachelor's degree in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. .She provides research-based education and prevention initiatives around alcohol and other drugs for the USF-Tampa campus. She also serves as a liaison to other campus programs and departments and collaborates with community coalitions around these efforts.


Jennifer Burton, Health Promotion Specialist
Jen earned her master's degree in Health Education and Behavior, specializing in Community Health, and her bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences, both from the University of Florida. She is also a certified health education specialist and a tobacco treatment specialist. Jen provides health and wellness outreach to students on a variety of topics such as stress management, sleep, physical activity, healthy eating, and general wellness. As the REACH peer education advisor, Jen is actively involved with awareness campaigns and programs run by this student organization.
